# Paper to prototype worksheet 1. **Question:** What relationship or difference are you investigating? 2. **Source (optional):** Citation/DOI/public link. Which experiment, figure, or method section? 3. **Participant action:** What will they see/hear, and what will they do? 4. **Manipulation:** List the conditions and the exact property that changes. What stays constant? 5. **Outcome:** RT, accuracy, choice, rating, recall, or another measure? Define its unit and eligible trials. 6. **Trial flow:** Instructions → practice (if needed) → stimulus sequence → response → next trial → completion. 7. **Items and allocation:** How many per condition? Within or between participants? What is randomized, and what is counterbalanced? 8. **Minimal version:** What can you complete using already taught plugins? What can be omitted without losing the central contrast? 9. **Data row:** Write one hypothetical response row with condition, item, response, RT, and scoring if relevant. 10. **Failure case:** What should happen on a timeout, missing asset, failed practice, or save error? 11. **Feasibility:** Available stimuli and their permitted use; device/language/access assumptions; dependencies; runner. 12. **Limits:** What makes this an adaptation rather than a full replication? Which claim would the pilot not justify? Instructor feedback: core scope / one necessary correction / optional extension / next checkpoint.
