Meeting 5: workshop
Deliverable: Four-decision pointer pilot, a verified
local save, and a project completion plan. Work from
materials/workshop-starter/; attempt the core tasks before
consulting the released reference solution. Pair work is encouraged;
switch driver/navigator roles halfway.
W1. Track four decisions (10 min)
Complete the same extension parameters in the workshop. Preserve the center Start action before every word.
W2. Check data and scoring (10 min)
Verify button indices 0/1, word/category, correctness, viewport, event records, and target rectangles.
W3. Save and document (10 min)
Complete the task on the selected platform and retrieve the result. If working locally, download/reopen JSON and label server saving as untested.
Acceptance checks
Four pointer-start rows and four decision rows in the workshop, plus instructions and summary (10 total). The live demo has one of each (4 total). Correct choice is 0 for cat/oak and 1 for hammer/lamp. Empty movement data is possible without motion; target metadata should still exist.
Save the source and one clearly labeled self/synthetic pilot export. This in-class work is formative; graded homework has a separate brief and may require more items.
If you finish early
Plot a saved trajectory relative to its target rectangles, or explain how changing geometry affects comparisons. Do not infer cognition directly from curve shape.
Exit ticket
Explain local download versus submission versus confirmed stored result; state your next project fix.
