Meeting 3: workshop

Deliverable: Flanker task that passes, repeats, or stops appropriately in both mapping groups. Work from materials/workshop-starter/; attempt the core tasks before consulting the released reference solution. Pair work is encouraged; switch driver/navigator roles halfway.

W1. Check mapping and feedback (15 min)

Read the central character independently. Complete practice-only feedback; leave feedback out of test.

W2. Loop and test gate (15 min)

Complete bounded repetition and condition test on practicePassed. Preserve the helpful failure route.

W3. Branch audit (20 min)

Run pass-first, fail-then-pass, and fail-all. Check both groups and exactly 75%. Download labeled exports and compare task counts with the table.

Acceptance checks

Pass-first: 4 practice + 8 test. Fail-then-pass: 8 + 8. Fail-all: 12 + 0. In ←←→←← the correct direction is right; in →→←→→ it is left. Group A left=F/right=J; B reverses these. Practice attempt IDs must be 1,2,3 only where applicable.

Save the source and one clearly labeled self/synthetic pilot export. This in-class work is formative; graded homework has a separate brief and may require more items.

If you finish early

Add a voluntary repeat after a pass with explicit data recording, or design a balanced block-order assignment. Keep the safety bound.

Exit ticket

Explain the two failure protections and identify an attempt-2 row.

Separate platform checkpoint

Complete the 30-minute local JATOS activity using the working Meeting 2 task. Keep its study archive separate from its results export. This is formative platform practice, not additional defensive programming for Assignment 3.
